I Love, Love, Love Crocheting Granny Squares!

Hello,

Anyone with young children knows the reading series Eloise.  Very often, at the end of her stories, Eloise exclaims that she, "love, love, loves...!" something or other.

I can relate.  I truly love, love, love crocheting granny squares in any weight yarn, using just about any crochet pattern I can get my hands on.

Here, I have crocheted a bunch of squares using different yarns.  I attached them with clothespins to a few strands of twine, and......instant garland!!!

I'll be busy crocheting more granny squares, that's for sure!!

Sweet and Simple Crochet Necklace

Hello Again!


Today I am showcasing a very simple necklace.  No special tools are required to make it - just the yarn of your choice and your pointer finger!

Simply make a slip knot and secure the yarn to your finger.

Now, do a simple chain stitch in crochet (which is yarn over, pull through the loop on your finger, yarn over, pull through the loop on your finger.  If you are not sure about the chain stitch, you can find a helpful tutorial here:  https://www.anniescatalog.com/crochet/content.html?content_id=1 .

Here is the result!

For this particular necklace, I used a DK weight yarn, which gives the piece a nice, loopy look and feel.

Sweet, simple, and beautiful, right?

Christmas in May

Hello!

I've been working on some fun Christmas ornaments.  The crochet pattern comes from the book titled Boho Crochet:  30 Hip and Happy Projects by Martingale.  You can use all different kinds of yarn, but I am super happy using springtime hues.

For these featured ornaments, I'm using 3.25 inch glass balls and Lion Brand Bonbons yarn, which is a 100% cotton sport weight yarn.

I've made several of these and I plan to make many more over the next several months.  Hey, it is never to early to start planning for the biggest holiday of the year, right?
