New Gig - Cultural Center of Cape Cod

I'm excited to announce my new position as Visiting Artist/Instructor at The Cultural Center of Cape Cod!  The Center is located on the Cape in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts.  For now, I am teaching remotely and my first class will be Freeform Crochet.

You can read all about The Cultural Center of Cape Cod and its mission here.

And you can find a link to my class here.

Thank you for visiting my blog!  I hope you enjoyed reading about what's been going on for me artistically.

New Studio - Erector Square!

I am BEYOND excited to announce my new studio workspace in Erector Square!  Erector Square is located in the Fair Haven section of New Haven, CT in a three-story brick industrial warehouse that originally housed one of the world's largest toy factories.  Its founder, Alfred Carlton (A.C.) Gilbert, created the famed Erector Set construction toy, and at one time the company employed more than 3,000 people at the New Haven site.  The company ceased production in the mid-1960's, at which point artists began renting out spaces.

I'm thrilled to carry on this 50+ year tradition by renting my own working space in this unique artists' enclave.

Here's a peek (these photos are pre-move in):

Keeping On - Current Exhibit at Guilford Art Center

I had a chance to take a look at the current exhibit at Guilford Art Center (GAC) in Guilford, CT, and everything looks great!  It was interesting and fun to take a look at the work of several GAC instructors.....and, of course, my own!
